Shaping Organizational Communications with Disruptive Technologies

Virtual and Augmented Reality expert Chad Modad will guide IABC Houston on a discussion that highlights how business and organizational communications can be enhanced through technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)

Our speaker will also profile how businesses from the medical and energy sector in Houston are leveraging disruptive technologies to enhance their communication, learning, and collaboration strategies.

About the Speaker

Chad Modad is a technology executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and long-time fan of all things science and technology. As a self-taught C++ programmer, Modad got hooked on software engineering as a 15-year-old intern at NASA working on VR simulations for astronauts. Since then he has worked at start-ups, small companies, and Fortune 100 companies in a diverse set of industries including oil & gas, computer hardware, residential and commercial automation, telecommunications, and defense.

Today Chad wears many hats. He is a senior manager in the technology consulting practice at Accenture, helping large companies transform their businesses through the digital technologies, and is currently the XR champion for Accenture’s North America Extended Reality (XR) Practice in the resources industry vertical. He is the founder and operator of Omniverse VR, a Virtual Reality Arcade in Houston. Modad also heads up the Houston Chapter of the VR/AR Association which is focused on bringing VR/AR technologies to the enterprise.

Modad holds a computer science degree from the University of Houston and an MBA from Rice University. He has been happily married to his wife Jessica for 20 years and is actively engaged in the lives of his two children. In his spare time, Modad is an active member and contributor to many technology meetups in Houston, volunteers in his community, serves on the technology advisory board at the Houston Zoo, and is an avid CrossFit athlete and coach.
