Zoom Meeting

The rapidly-evolving world of sports isn’t just about competing on the field – it takes a team of communicators behind the scenes to keep fans engaged, informed and invested at all levels. Just as sports can change in a moment’s notice, so can business communications (thanks, COVID-19).

Join IABC Houston for a (virtual) fireside chat on Thursday, Nov. 19, to learn how sports broadcasters and comms professionals are rapidly evolving their game to compete for eyeballs, pivot on a moment’s notice, and how you can you set yourself apart and thrive in the ever-evolving digital era heading into 2021.

About the Speakers

Taylor Bisciotti is an anchor and reporter for NFL Network, appearing on several NFL Media platforms and programs. She is the youngest female on-air personality ever hired by the network. Before joining NFL Network, Bisciotti was a host for Sporting News after serving as a sideline reporter for the SEC Network and ESPN. Bisciotti began her career as an intern with WUSA9 in Washington, D.C. where she discovered her passion for sports journalism. Bisciotti graduated from the University of Georgia as a double major in Business Marketing and Broadcast Journalism. She was born and raised in Atlanta.

Sam Betesh is the senior coordinating producer in charge of content for CBS Sports HQ. Previously, Sam spent more than seven years as a producer for FOX Sports working directly with “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd on FS1. He also led the production of day to day content for FOX Sports Live, managing talent and assisting with on air delivery. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz, Sam has also spent time throughout his 20-years career as a producer for Clear Channel Radio and Cumulus Broadcasting.

Jenny Dial Creech is the managing editor of The Athletic Houston. She worked 14 years at the Houston Chronicle - as a reporter on multiple beats, an assistant sports editor and a columnist. Jenny is a board member for The Association for Women in Sports Media, and also serves as a speaker, instructor and judge for the Columbia University Scholastic Press Association, speaking with several high school and college journalism programs nationally each year. She’s a native of San Antonio, Texas and a University of Oklahoma alum.
