The Bronze Quill Awards Gala recognizes and honors Houston and southern Texas communication practitioners whose work, in 2008, has exemplified excellence in communications. Awards of Excellence and Merit will be presented for entries in the following divisions:

• Student Division     

• Communicator of the Year
• Communication Leadership Award (formerly Executive Communicator of the Year)    

• Best of Show, Professional
• Best of Show, Student – winner receives $250 scholarship    

Bronze Quill Awards guests will enjoy a delicious dinner, view contest entries and hear from keynote speaker, David Henderson, a veteran communications and media strategist, author, online publisher, and Emmy Award-winning former on-air CBS Network News correspondent. He will share his compelling and timely expertise on media trends and today’s dynamic convergence of mainstream media with new media and the digital revolution driven by Web 2.0.    Our gala emcee, Yolanda Green, is a community pioneer, children's advocate and media personality.
