2021 Bronze Quill Awards

IABC Houston celebrated its Diamond Anniversary as a professional organization and honored the top communications campaigns from the past year in person at the 2021 Bronze Quill Awards on Oct. 21 at The Junior League of Houston. It was the first time in two and a half years that the Bronze Quill Awards were held in person.

Linda Lorelle won the Best of Show and a Best of Division award for the production of "Eastern Glades," a film about the opening of the Clay Family Eastern Glades, the newest section of Houston's iconic Memorial Park.

Brookii Wootton, Investor Relations Manager for Primoris Services Company, and Alice Brink, ABC, IABC Fellow, and principal of A Brink & Co. won a Best of Division award for their "Acquiring the Future" entry which successfully influenced key financial stakeholders in advance of an acquisition and improved the company's stock valuation.

IABC Houston also awarded University of Houston senior Michelle Abrams as the winner of the 2021 Downs Matthews Memorial Scholarship recipient. Michelle is majoring in strategic communications and minoring in Spanish, maintains a 4.0 GPA and serves in various marketing and communications roles on campus. She will graduate in Spring 2022.

Award-winning journalist Melanie Lawson of ABC 13 Eyewitness News served as the gala's emcee. The event also featured a display of historical artifacts chronicling the chapter's 75 years, and Alice Brink led a commemorative champagne toast to honor IABC Houston's past, present, and future.

Congratulations to the 2021 Bronze Quill Award winners!
